# How does wheel diameter affect performance?
## Wheel diameter affects both style and performance, with larger wheels emphasizing appearance and smaller wheels often providing a smoother, more comfortable ride.
Wheel diameter plays a major role in both the look and performance of your car.
Larger diameter wheels create a bold, eye catching style by showing more wheel and less tire in the wheel well. While this can deliver the aggressive look many drivers want, it also means less tire sidewall. Less sidewall can result in a firmer ride and reduced comfort, especially on rough roads.
Smaller diameter wheels provide more tire sidewall, which can help create a smoother and more comfortable ride. This makes them a strong option for daily driving. In some cases, smaller wheels may also support better acceleration and braking, but overall performance depends heavily on total wheel and tire weight and rotational mass.
When choosing your wheel size, consider how you use your car most often. Balancing style, comfort, and performance will help you find the right fit for your build. If you need help deciding, Contact Us and out team will guide you.
